Dear Reader,
I write this with the hope you come to an understanding of the High Calling you have in Jesus.
Please, stay with me as I paint a picture hopefully to pass the right message to you. I need to tell you something.

Growing up, some of us were taught never to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, some were told,” never have sex before marriage”, some were scolded for kissing a guy they had feelings for, punished for going out and staying late into the night, to cover up as a lady, sit well, close your laps, and so on, but why?

We may then ask ourselves,” Why can’t I have a boyfriend/girlfriend at a young age if I have feelings? Is it wrong to have feelings? Why can’t I have sex before marriage, I mean, I have desires. If I can’t have sex, before marriage, I can masturbate then, I can watch pornography. At least that solves the issue, right? I am not going to get pregnant or impregnate anyone, after all, I am obeying,  but then, as if that’s not enough, you and i are told not to masturbate and watch porn, judged and made to look like demons, but are we? What really does the older generation want from me? You then ask. Finally, you conclude. Okay, fine! No boyfriend/girlfriend right? No sex with the opposite sex or masturbation? Fine, I have decided to like the same sex I.e. lesbianism/gay! And still, there is a problem.  They are probably just old school.
I like to look good, showing a little skin would not hurt anyone, it’s my body.” After a while, we finally conclude the church is just judgemental, God is too picky, and so on and go ahead to still perform the acts regardless because honestly, you can’t live to please anyone. Your body is yours!

Well, let me tell you what I believe, I believe your desires to want to have sex are valid actually, the question is in what context and with whom?

Hold on now, don’t leave yet thinking you know what I have to say, just wait.

While all these are good pieces of advice they gave us, I believe the wrong message was passed as to why not to do these things. You and I were taught these things and somewhat fear was instilled in us, that’s where I believe a problem lies.

For a fact, sex is not bad, it is not, it was created by God. God created these desires in us.
So why then do they keep telling us not to follow our hearts and desires?  To be honest, I can’t speak for them, but I have an answer for myself.

You see, you are not to have sex before marriage, masturbate, watch pornography, etc so that you don’t enjoy your life, no, it is because your body is a sanctuary! For God who is Holy to dwell and live in (please, do read the Bible scripture at the top again).

Again, wait! Don’t go, please, read to the end, stay with me.

You are of God, and Within you lies the breath of God, within you lies the power to break barriers and deliver nations for the kingdom of God.
The main idea to withdraw from these acts is because your body is the temple of God, not because you are young or old enough,  white or black, rich or poor. It’s because you are a carrier of God! A carrier of generations! A carrier of divine transformation, that is why.

Don’t you see? We got the message wrong all along.

Let’s assume you wait till marriage to have sex (which you should by the way), you have sex, have you not had the sex they warned you against?! Does that mean you are now unholy for the Holy Spirit to dwell in? No, but even in marriage, your body is still the temple of God. That’s why you shouldn’t still perform certain acts like tell lies, steal, masturbate, watch pornography, practice lesbianism/gayness, etc, these things will cloud your mind, your spirit, and soul from remaining pure!  Thereby you become defiled and God cannot dwell where He is not welcomed.
Just like you try to clean up your home when expecting a visitor, in this same way, you must constantly clean up and be purified for God to continuously dwell.

A temple is a holy place you can worship, praise, find safety, offer sacrifices, and be healed, you know, become whole, and so if you are a walking Temple, you need to remain pure.

Your desires are very valid! In what context though?
So, you want to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, for what exactly? Will the relationship still keep you as a temple holy enough to be lodged by God?

A truth for every beliver to know is, “WE ARE NOT INVOLVED IN SEXUAL IMMORALITY BECAUSE WE WERE TOLD NOT TO, THAT’S A WRONG REASON, ACTUALLY, THE WORST REASON BECAUSE IF GRANTED PERMISSION TO BE INVOLVED, OR THE GOVERNMENT LEGALIZES IT FOR ALL, A DIVINE AND KINGDOM LAW IS STILL BROKEN BY DOING IT. WE ARE NOT INVOLVED BECAUSE WE UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF BEING CARRIERS OF GRACE AND THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THE CONCEPT THAT OUR BODY IS FOR GOD AND NOT OURS, NOW THIS IS A VALID REASON. IF THIS IS OUR REASON, YOU AND I WILL STAND TALL TILL THE VERY END.”

Please note that this post is not to judge you if you are involved in these acts. Rather, it’s to reveal the truth to you thereby bringing you to genuine repentance and consecration. Jesus still loves you regardless and your body can still be a temple, a beautiful one for God.
Please, Surrender/ redirect your life to Jesus.

Please say this prayer aloud with me, if you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, “Heavenly Father, I completely surrender all my life to You! I adore You, for You are mighty and all-powerful, worthy of all my praise.I believe that Jesus, the son of God died on the cross for me and that He arose on the third day .Come into my life and make all things new. I ask for your forgiveness of sins and your grace to overcome the temptations I feel and keep my body as whole and pure by the working power of the Holy Spirit. I believe and know that all I need to do is call on name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and I will be saved.  Thank You for that privilege! I’m now born again “ . Amen!
