Dear Royalty,
We talk a lot about building legacy, chasing purpose, walking in divine destiny. We pray, plan, and prophesy but let’s pause for a second and talk about the vessel.
The body.
Because here’s the truth: You cannot build generational wealth with a broken, tired, or sick body.
Your body, yes, this one body, is not just a shell. It is the vessel through which purpose flows. It is what you will use to raise your children, fulfill your calling, write your vision, execute your plans, show up to that business meeting, run with divine ideas, and yes, enjoy the fruit of your labor.
And yet many of us are running on empty. Spiritually full, maybe. Mentally focused, sometimes. But physically… depleted. Tired. Neglected.
I recently started paying more attention to what I put in my body and it is changing my life.
Coconut Water, Fruits and Leafy Greens
Let me be real with you. Coconut water has become one of my favourite discoveries. Not the sweetened, packaged kind but the fresh one you crack open by the roadside in Ghana or Nigeria and drink straight from the shell. That thing will flush your system, hydrate your soul, and give you energy you did not know you were missing.
And fruits? Please, eat the pawpaw. Blend that watermelon. Snack on pineapple. These are not just tropical delights. They are nature’s medicine. God put vitamins in the things that grow right in our soil. Mangoes, avocados, oranges, even garden eggs , they are healing. They build your immune system. They give your skin life. And do not get me started on kontomire (cocoyam leaves) or ugu ; the vegetables our mothers fed us without even knowing they were giving us superfoods.
Strength Is Spiritual Too
This is not just about health trends. This is biblical stewardship.
Your body is not separate from your calling. If God has placed something heavy on your life, whether it is raising a family, starting a business, ministering to others, building a brand, or being a generational curse breaker, then you need strength. And strength does not just come from prayer. It comes from nourishment. Movement. Rest. Proper hydration.
Some of us are tired not because of spiritual warfare, but because we have not had real food in days.
You cannot build something that lasts on bread and energy drinks.
African Hustle Culture Cannot Be Your Excuse

I get it. Life is fast here. We are chasing goals, sitting in traffic, managing 9 to 5 jobs plus side hustles. Sometimes buying waakye by the roadside or skipping meals feels like survival. But if you are constantly tired, your skin is dull, your mind is foggy, and you are depending on caffeine just to be present, you have to stop and ask: What is this body going to look like in ten years?
You want to see the wealth you are praying for, right?
You want to enjoy your 50s and 60s strong, not lying in a hospital bed asking your children to come and visit.
Then start today.
A Simple Health Checklist:
- Drink coconut water or real water daily
- Eat fruits like it is your medicine
- Take vegetables seriously: kontomire, alefu, ugu, cabbage, okra, spinach
- Move your body. Walk, stretch, dance even if it is in your room (you can do a 10 min praise dance daily )
- Rest. Nap. Sleep early. Your brain needs it
- Take vitamins. Especially iron, magnesium, and vitamin D
- Say no to junk. You are not a trash can
For the Ladies (and Gentlemen Too)
Some of us need to start learning about what multivitamins to take. Every woman’s body is different. Every man’s too. Read. Ask questions. Stop leaving your health to chance. Go for a medical checkup. Nothing may be wrong, but check. What is deficient in my system? What does my body lack? Do not wait for your body to crash before you pay attention to it.
You are carrying too much purpose to keep neglecting your body.
This is not about body goals. This is about longevity
About being present
About having the strength to finish the race, not just spiritually, but physically too
Let us not just pray for long life. Let us live in a way that supports it
Take care of your vessel. It is the only one you get.
Yours,
Sharon Paulina Boye
