Dear Royalty,
You were never called to impress them. You were chosen to influence them.
Yet in this age of filters, likes, and fleeting fame, the battle has shifted. Once upon a time, we wanted to be known for our voice, our gift, our mind. Today, it seems we’re being asked to sell our bodies to get noticed. The applause is louder when clothes are fewer. The “likes” rise when you lower your guard. The algorithms reward skin, not substance.
I write to you not just as a Christian, but as a sibling in the faith, a fellow pilgrim who has watched too many of us fall for a cheap version of validation that God never signed off on.
LET ME PAINT A VIVID STORY
Ama was 21 when she started her lifestyle page. Modest, creative, and warm. She shared makeup tutorials, devotionals, and dance reels. But growth was slow. One day, a “talent scout” commented on her post: “You’re beautiful. If you just showed a little more skin, you’d be viral in a week.”
She laughed at first. But weeks later, when her modest posts got little traction, she decided to “experiment.” A shoulder here. A seductive pose there. Suddenly, her following grew. The comments changed from “God bless you” to “You’re so hot”. The shift was subtle, then suffocating. She deleted her devotionals. She stopped praying. Her DM requests grew darker.
Ama is real. She may be your friend. She may be you.
What’s Really Going On?
Social media has become a mirror, and the devil is whispering behind the glass. “Show more. It’s harmless. It’s your body. God understands. Don’t be dramatic.” But don’t forget that the serpent’s first strategy was to attack identity: “Did God really say…?”
He hasn’t changed his method.
Today, he still gets Eve to question her covering. But Royalty, your body is not content, it’s a temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your beauty is not a commodity, it’s a calling.
And yes, we understand the pressure. You see the influencers with brands, cars, free trips – and you’re wondering, “Am I too rigid? Too boring? Too… hidden?” No. You are protected.
God doesn’t expose His vessels before they’re ready. David was anointed in secret long before he faced Goliath. Jesus spent 30 years in obscurity before launching a 3-year ministry. Esther was hidden for months before she met the king.
The enemy wants you naked before you’re anointed. But God hides you until the oil on your life can carry the weight of your calling.
Biblical Backing:
- Adam & Eve (Genesis 3:7–11): The first thing sin stole was their innocence. When they sinned, they realized they were naked, and felt shame. That’s what the enemy still does today: he entices, then exposes.
- Proverbs 31:25: “She is clothed with strength and dignity…” Not lust and lingerie.
- 1 Peter 3:3–4: True beauty isn’t just outward. It’s the hidden person of the heart, gentle, quiet, and precious to God.
So What Do You Do Now?
1. Audit your heart and your posts.
Ask yourself: “Why am I posting this? Who is it serving?”
If your body is getting more attention than your calling, something is out of alignment.
2. Reclaim your identity.
You are not for sale. You are not an object. You are not “just another pretty face.” You are God’s daughter. A royal priesthood. Called to influence nations, not inflame lust.
3. Take a digital Sabbath.
If your soul is too noisy from all the scrolling, step back. Go on a 3-day or 7-day social media fast. Fill that space with worship, the Word, and prayer.
4. Surround yourself with Kingdom-minded sisters AND BROTHERS.
There are other women like you, fighting the same fight. Don’t isolate. Confess. Heal. Grow.
Lessons to Be Learned:
- Influence without integrity is destruction on delay.
- Not everything that gets “likes” will be liked by God.
- God hides His best until the time is right.
- If you market yourself with flesh, don’t be shocked if people don’t value your spirit
Dear Royalty, if they only value your body, they will never protect your soul. But the God who formed you, clothed you, and anointed you, He sees. He knows. He calls you precious. And He will platform you at the right time, with the right covering, for the right purpose.
Don’t trade the oil for a trend.
Prayer:
Lord, help me see myself through Your eyes. Remove every craving for false validation. Heal every place where shame has lived. I declare I am royalty. I am not for sale. I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen.
With Love,
Sharon Paulina Boye
