Passing on the Torch: Let Someone Else Handle the Job

Written by:

Dear Royalty,

Have you ever felt God should just pick someone else for the job?

Ever felt like you’re not the right fit for the job? Maybe you’ve looked at your background, your lifestyle, and wondered if you measure up to what’s expected of you.

It’s like when you hear that God has a plan for you, but it feels like you’re not equipped for it.

You start to question, why me? Why did God choose me for this task? Maybe you’ve even started a project that you felt called to, but you keep hitting roadblocks, feeling like you can’t meet the expectations. Let us be real as Christians, sometimes, we feel it’s not ‘possible’ to do that thing God is sending you.

You might find yourself asking, who issued this ‘call’ on my life and why did they pick me for this particular assignment?

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Are you feeling unworthy and unprepared for what God is sending you to do? I get it. Sometimes it feels like you’re just not ready or able to handle what’s expected of you. But let me hit you with a quick reality check.

Have you ever heard of Jeremiah, that young boy in the Bible? He was in the same boat. Doubting himself, thinking he wasn’t up to snuff for the job. He even tried to tell God to pick someone else. But guess what? God saw something in him and used him in ways Jeremiah never imagined.

It’s funny, guys. I kept hearing this story over and over again, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. But seriously, why was Jeremiah always the one everyone brought up? It used to bug me, even though I was a Christian. I just didn’t understand why everyone was stuck on that “before I formed you, I knew you” verse. I must’ve thought a million times, “Can’t we use a different passage for once?”

And here I am, sharing the same advice. It’s not because Jeremiah’s story is the easiest to grasp, but because I’ve walked in those shoes. I’ve felt the weight of uncertainty and self-doubt, just like Jeremiah must have. But you know what? Despite all that, I’ve come to understand that God can still work wonders through us, even when we feel far from ready or capable. Your life isn’t just a random string of events; it’s packed with purpose. And God, well, He’s the ultimate storyteller. He can take our doubts, fears, and insecurities and turn them into something truly epic. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen.

This is my message; a reminder of the scriptures :

”“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.” But I said, “Hold it, Master God! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!” God told me, “Don’t say, ‘I’m only a boy.’ I’ll tell you where to go and you’ll go there. I’ll tell you what to say and you’ll say it. Don’t be afraid of a soul. I’ll be right there, looking after you.” God’s Decree. God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered! See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do among nations and governments—a red-letter day! Your job is to pull up and tear down, take apart and demolish, And then start over, building and planting.” God’s Message came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “A walking stick—that’s all.” And God said, “Good eyes! I’m sticking with you. I’ll make every word I give you come true.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭12‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Always remember, “The master has need of you.” Your journey has purpose, and there’s a reason you’re being called to action.
