Hey there, Abba’s fam!
Let’s talk about identity, yeah? Knowing who you are helps you figure out who you’re not.
Think about it: You know a dog when you see one, right? So, you’re not going to mistake it for a fish. Same goes for fire and shoes, or trees and airplanes.
So, if you really know who you are, you won’t let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. IF YOU KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE , YOU WILL NOT CALL YOURSELF ANY DIFFERENT FROM THAT.
Romans 8 dives into this, showing us that as Children of God, we should be led by the Spirit, not the flesh. But, a lot of Christian teens are caught up in an identity crisis, cruising along without a clue.
For example, growing up in a Christian home is NOT enough reason to follow Jesus. What if your folks bail on the faith? Why do you believe in what you do? Are you just going with the flow, or is there real purpose behind your actions?
Listen up, soldier: Your Christian journey shouldn’t be a flesh-fest, ruled by your desires. Saying “NO” to sin, to the world’s pressures, to your flesh—it’s non-negotiable but you can only do this with the help of the Holy Spirit and a firm understanding of why you are following this particular path.
Let us be real, it’s tough. Saying “NO” might sound easy until that temptation hits. That’s when you’ll find out if your “YES” means yes and your “NO” means no.
God’s got a plan for you, but so does the devil. So, I am writing this to remind us, the Body of Christ, that distractions and temptations are everywhere. But we are equipped to rise above through the help of the Holy Spirit. We/You know too much to fail, soldier(s). You have come this far NOT to fall but to remain STANDING!
Please , remember Joseph and FLEE from ,’Potiphar’s Wife’. You know better than to fall and stay ‘fallen’!
Not everyone gets a second chance to follow the right path or do the right thing . Ignorance should not be found with you . No! You’ve been trained long enough, say NO to your flesh today. Say no to immorality and fornication today.
Don’t pray and the next minute you are fornicating . Please , I beg you , stand firm, stay true to who you are, and keep pressing on. Your identity in Christ is your anchor in this world.
Keep the faith, Abba’s fam. You’ve got this!
